PVD Comprehensive Plan Conversation This Thursday

Every ten years, the city of Providence is required to publish a Comprehensive Plan to guide zoning, planning and growth for the following decade. A new Comp Plan is being written now for adoption by the end of this year, with sections on housing, transportation, preservation, parks, and sustainability.

Do you know what the city is proposing and how it will impact your neighborhood?

Do you have a vision for the future that you want to see reflected in this Plan?

If you would like to learn more about the emerging Plan, gather with others to discuss it and workshop alternative concepts or language, please come to a Comp Plan Conversation at Providence Preservation Society on May 30 or June 3 from 5 – 7pm at 24 Meeting Street.  A partial list of participants includes Liza Burkin, Julian Drix, Monica Huertas, Gloria Johnson, Dwayne Keys, Vatic Kuumba, Kari Lang, Bianca Policastro, Patricia Raub, Shey Rí Acu Rivera Ríos, and Clark Schoettle.
